Member Statements
The US Women’s Caucus includes organizational members that issue statements addressing the CSW theme. Some Caucus organizational members have consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), a standing that requires a detailed application and often a lengthy wait for a decision. Once accredited, organizations can submit CSW statements to ECOSOC for distribution to UN member states. The UN translates the statements into the six official UN languages (English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese). The statements are assigned a UN identifying number and become official UN documents.
